Located in downtown Wrangell, Alaska, this attractive old house with dormer windows was recently restored by a new generation of the family that has operated it for years.

The Rooney family paid special attention to details during the renovation and has furnished Rooney's Roost with antiques and antique reproductions to give the Roost a feel of 1900's Alaska.

Each of the four rooms, located upstairs, has been decorated with a different theme which is reflected in its name: Glacier Room, Princess Room, Woodlands Room, and, the Sunshine Room. All rooms have private baths and televisions. Included in the rate for your room is a full gourmet breakfast made with local ingredients such as seafood or berries.
