The proprietors of Rooney's Roost, Gordon and Rebecca Rooney, are the second generation to operate the Bed and Breakfast. Gordon and Rebecca have both retired from the fast pace of Silicon Valley, California, to the relaxed community life of Wrangell, Alaska. The Rooney's acquired the Roost from Gordon's mothers estate in January, 2000.

Gordon grew up in Wrangell so he was no stranger to the laid back pace and the friendliness of Wrangell. Becky enjoys cooking and the wonderful Wrangell golf course whenever she can get away.

Gordon and Becky both enjoy the wonder of the Alaskan outdoors and the excitement of meeting new friends which this Alaska bed and breakfast offers.
